Mrs. Zannetta Walker, a Georgia native, is an honor graduate from Kennesaw State University and Mercer University. In 2017, she obtained her degree in Educational Leadership from Mercer University and in 2009, Zannetta graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Education from Kennesaw State University. In 2004, she earned her Associate of Science degree in Biology from Gordon State College. A 2002 honor graduate of Lamar County High School, she was in the top 5% of her class and served as the Senior Class President. She achieved this accomplishment while also being a starting member of the varsity basketball team, varsity track and field and drum major for the Lamar County Marching Trojans Band. An outstanding all around student, she completed her National Certification as a pharmacy technician (CPhT) at the age of 16.
With a passion to give to others as she had received, she began her teaching career at Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia where she taught Biology. After two successful years with the Fulton County School System, she transferred in 2011 to Luella High School in the Henry County School System where she taught Biology until 2015. Upon the completion of the 2014-2015 school year, Zannetta transferred to Hampton High School, also in the Henry County School System, where she taught Biology, Honors Biology and Environmental Science. Additionally, she served as the Science Department Chairperson for two successful years. She is currently serving Hampton High School as the Instruction and Personalized Learning Lead. During her spare time, Zannetta enjoys spending time with her husband Cedric and their two daughters Aniya Kennedi and Navi Ciara, singing, traveling, home improvement projects and watching movies loaded with comedy and/or action.
