    Hello and thank you for visiting my page.  I am very happy to be teaching at Luella High School.  Please check this page for announcements, assignments, and notes. Here is little information about me.

     
    I am originally from Boston, MA and because of that, I am a huge Boston Sports Fan. I have served proudly in the US Navy for 14 years as a Hospital Corpsman. I was stationed at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, VA for 6 years. While in the US Naval Reserve, I served as a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman with 4th Marine Division, 4th Marine Air Wing, MAG-42, stationed at Naval Air Station - Atlanta, GA, attached to HMLA-773, "The Red Dogs", USMC Helicopter Attack Squadron, featuring the Bell AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters and the Bell UH-1Y Venom utility helicopters.  
     
    I have taught public school for 21 years, and was a General Instructor in the US Navy for 14 years. This is my 17th year at Luella High School.  I am also the Head Coach for the Varsity Soccer Teams and assist with the football teams. 
     
    I received my Bachelors of Arts degree in History and Political Science from Old Dominion University, in Norfolk, Virginia while on active military duty. I received a Bachelors of Science degree in Cardiopulmonary Science with a concentration in Respiratory Therapy from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. I worked at the catastrophic care hospital in Atlanta--The Shepherd Center, as a Respiratory Therapist.  Realizing that education was my calling, I received my Master of Education (M. Ed.) and Specialist in Education (Ed. S) degrees in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA. I earned a Certificate in Leadership from University of West Georgia. 
     
    I am married to Karie Jarrett-Roberts. We have one son, Andrew, who graduated from Luella in 2013 and from Georgia Southern University in 2017 with a degree in Sport Management, and he works for Austin FC of Major League Soccer. I also have 2 dogs, Mookie and Yadi (they are Boxer-Beagles Mix).
