Welcome to the International Thespian Society!
About Us:
Membership is offered to any student in grades 9-12 who earns points through a combination of performances in LHS plays and work behind the scenes in school theatre. Members are recognized at graduation with honor cords and stoles, are eligible to attend Georgia Thespian Conference, and compete for theatre scholarships. Membership is for life. Student members will receive a one-year subscription to Dramatics Magazine. Membership is upon invitation and there is a one-time fee of $25, which goes to the national organization. Graduation honors items are offered at an additional cost to the student. Members also work on several service projects throughout the year, including Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat. Members may also attend the annual Georgia Thespian Conference held each February in Columbus, GA. At conference students have performance opportunities, take classes with theatre professionals, and can explore scholarship opportunities with many colleges and universities from across the country.
