Luella High School, located at 603 Walker Drive in Locust Grove, Georgia, is part of the Henry County School District and is located adjacent to both Luella Elementary and Luella Middle Schools. It hosts students in grades nine through twelve.
Luella High School opened its doors in August 2003 with a population of approximately 1300 students with George Eckerle as the principal. The school was opened as part of an expansion plan by the school district to relieve unprecedented growth in the county. By 2013, the school population exceeded 2100 students.
In June 2011, Luella welcomed a new principal, Mr. Jerry Smith, who took over the helm of the facility with a staff of nearly 100.
Currently, Luella has approximately 1200 students.
The school colors are navy blue, burgundy, and silver. The school mascot is the lion. The school offers more than 50 clubs and organizations for students to be involved with.
