    Lady Lions Volleyball is beginning is 16th year of competition.  This season marks the fourth year playing in Area 2AAAA for the team.  The goal of the Lady Lions Volleyball team is to teach and train young ladies on how to play competitive volleyball through our 9th grade, junior Varsity and Varsity programs.  Along with this the young ladies are are taught how to represent themselves and Luella High School with respect and loyalty.  The volleyball team participates in 18 Varsity matches, 13 JV and 9th grade matches each season in an effort to win an Area title and compete in the State Tournament.  The Lady Lions made it to state for the 11 times and to the sweet sixteen three times.

    Coach Jarrett
     
     
    Karie A. Jarrett-Roberts, Head Coach, Program Director
     
    Coach Jarrett is starting her 16th year as the Head Coach the Lady Lions and 17th season with the team.  Coach Jarrett-Roberts is originally from Effingham, Illinois where she attended St. Anthony High School and was 4 year letter winner.  She was name All-State Honorable mention as a senior and received a variety of all county and region honors.  Coach Jarrett-Roberts attended Parkland College in Champaign, IL for one year and then transferred to Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, KY.  She is a graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College where she was a three-year starter and record holder.  She then later became the Head Coach at KWC for 2 years.  She has also coached for area clubs such as Southern Fury, Fusion and A5 South.  In 2012 Coach Jarrett-Roberts received a masters from Georgia Southern. In 2017 Coach Jarrett married Coach James Roberts, Luella's Head Soccer and Heqd JV Football Coach.  They live happily with their two dogs.
