Membership Requirements:

Membership for a student in the SNHS is conferred in the last three years of secondary school education. A student must have and maintain a 3.5/4.0 grade point average to be a member, including nothing less than an 80 in a science course. In addition, the following qualifications must be met and maintained:

A member must be enrolled in at least one honors or AP science class every year following 9th grade.

A member must maintain a B+ average (or equivalent) across all science courses.

All members must get teacher recommendations from 3 teachers, including at least one science teacher.

All members must attend at least 8 meetings a year.

All members should perform at least 25 hours of community service (tutoring, labs, etc)

All members must attend at least one lab leadership day to other students.

Only members who have been active for two years can become officers.
