OUR MISSION:

“The mission of Lady Pearls of Luella is to enrich, encourage, and enlighten ourselves through self-awareness and personal- enhancement, while also taking the necessary steps to ensure a successful future. The Lady Pearls are a intellectual group of females who are involved in community service, mentoring and leadership."

OUR OBJECTIVE:

Active engagement in the Lady Pearls strengthens skills while students lead by example. Participants make and share friendships while creating a sisterly environment moreover, find commonalities. Having a comfortable environment encourages students to interact and express one to another, resulting in an openness to change.

    Many group activities aid in this developmental process. In addition, Lady Pearls is paralleled  with community leaders as guest speakers based on the various subjects of the syllabus. To continue fostering positive concepts, core standards are reinforced throughout the curriculum. Writing essays, research papers, journal entries, and oral presentations enrich Language Arts standards. Math is strengthened through financial curriculum completion. Citizenship, character-building activities, program standards, and community service support civics standards. Finally, various topics are explored in health education.

OUR VISION:

Lady Pearls not only prepares members for higher education, but also motivates them to become leaders in life. As each group graduates, applying new skills and building new friendships, they receive next year’s participants into their respective school and aid in their transitions. Students who join Lady Pearls are better equipped in their interpersonal skills, academic success, and career preparation. This group was founded on the basic principles of sisterhood and service.

Membership Information:

Dues - $20 (includes T-shirt)

Must be in good academic standing to join.
