• Dutchtown Elementary Student Ambassador Program

     

    At Dutchtown Elementary, student ambassadors have demonstrated their ability, capacity, and commitment to promote a positive school culture and experience. The student leaders are trained to welcome new students, parents, community partners, and other stakeholders to Dutchtown Elementary. 

     

    Students are recommended based on the following criteria:

    • Students in Grades 3 - 5
    • Have an eagerness to help others.

    • Maintain an A/B average on their report card and program report

    • Receive no discipline citations or referrals at school or on the school bus

    • Speak clearly and project their voice when speaking

     

    Some of the Student Ambassador's responsibilities and duties include:

    • Help with school-wide initiatives and school-sponsored events

    • Committed to serving in volunteer projects

    • Provide school tours

    • Speak to community members and stakeholders 

    • Provide positive examples of behavior expectations

    • Positively represent Dutchtown Elementary School

    • Assist students in all areas of the building

     

    Student Ambassadors Program promotes:

    • Sharpen communication and public speaking 

    • Improve interpersonal and conversational skills

    • Enhance confidence when speaking and interacting with stakeholders

    • Develop networking skills through participation in exciting events

    • Develop leadership to use in the real world.
