Mr. Michael Brackett

Welcome students and parents to Healthcare Science.   I am very excited to join Luella High School this year and begin my teaching career.  Yes, though I have taught adult classes for quite some time, this is my first year teaching for a High School.  I have a background in EMS and EMS education, being a Certified Paramedic/EMT since 2010.  I began my EMS career with Clayton County Fire and EMS in 2010 and served the citizens of Clayton County for 6 great years.  Obtaining my Paramedic in 2015 and later my BA in Healthcare Management in 2017, I moved to Private EMS with several high ranking outfits in the Atlanta Area.  I look forward to bringing my current experience in the medical field to prepare our future care takers for the medical field.

I have been married to the same beautiful woman for almost 18 years.  She is an educator, as well, at Locust Grove Middle, and she is my inspiration as a teacher.  I also have 2 awesome boys: a Junior and a Freshman at Locust Grove High.  I love playing and coaching soccer and all things NERD.  Spider-man, Robert Hienlien books, and binging Sci-Fi shows are how I spend any free time that I have.
