Chess has long been considered a way for children to increase their mental prowess, concentration, memory and analytical skills. Studies prove that chess improves academic performance in math and reading comprehension. Improved self-confidence, patience, critical thinking, self control, and sportsmanship are among the many positive attributes which are reinforced with the game of chess.
