Ms. Cento

Hello, my name is Todd Cento and I am the music teacher here at Dutchtown Elementary.  I have been a music teacher in public school for 26 years now and have taught both elementary and middle grades. I have been a musician for over 50 years and play professionally outside of school hours.  I owned and operated a music store for 27 years and left that business when I became a public school music teacher.  Aside from my passion for music, I am an animal lover and an avid gardener.  I am married and have 2 children who are both grown up.  I keep a horse- Cocoa- and have a kitty whose name is Halloween.

I am looking forward to a busy year making and learning about music with our students.  We will be continuing to perfect our music-reading abilities for both rhythm and pitch.  We will having some performances both in-school and outside of the school day.  Stay tuned for more information.
