Hello and Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year!

My name is Vanswala Scott and I am excited to be your child's Second Grade Teacher. I joined the Locust Grove Elementary Staff in 2019.

I am originally from South Carolina and moved to Georgia in 2008. I graduated from Georgia State with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. I'm currently pursuing an MSW from Walden University. This is my third year at LGE but I have  been working with children for the past 10 years. I am happily married to my college sweetheart, Louis Scott. We are the proud parents of four children, three sons, Akiel, Khalil, & Khamare, and one daughter, Keilani. My family and I love to be outdoors, especially visiting sunny beaches and seeing any new movie!

During my free time you will find me curled up reading a book by my favorite author, James Patterson!
