Welcome Bobcat Community!

Greetings to our Bobcat Community!
Welcome to our website and our Bobcat family! Yes, a new school year is here! Our theme for the 2022-2023 school year is "Seeds of Greatness...Blooms of Success!" My vision for the school year is to navigate the upcoming school year successfully with a focus on ensuring the seeds of success are planted for our students. We will support our students as we rebound from the challenges caused by the pandemic by addressing student growth, student achievement and any learning loss caused by the pandemic. In support of the District's strategic plan, we will ensure students learn through highly effective classroom instructional strategies with a balance between print and digital resources. Teachers will implement effective questioning, visual representation and modeling and attend to precision of details and feedback. Students will experience STEAM learning activities integrated into our Science curriculum. Experiences of Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math in a hands-on, engaging manner will plant seeds of creativity while coding, designing through robotics, experiments and thinking critically to problem-solve.
As the school leader of Bethlehem Elementary School, it is my goal to inspire a culture of high-level teaching and learning. We will work to get to know our students, their personalities, learning styles and interests. As a part of our school community, we will celebrate our students, whether small or large accomplishments, and remind them that they are valued and are a part of our school community. Through collaboration between our staff and parents, our students will continue to receive the best possible educational experiences to prepare them for the "Blooms of Success", now and in the future.
I am again honored to serve the Bethlehem School Community. At Bethlehem Elementary School, we truly love children! We consider ourselves in partnership with our school community and invite you to join us for volunteer opportunities. Yes, it's always a great day to be a Bobcat!
Please feel free to contact your student's teacher for opportunities to volunteer and partner with us. As we embrace this new school year, please take an opportunity to visit our website regularly for updates and information from the school and the district.
Again, I welcome you to Bethlehem Elementary School and the 2022-2023 school year!
Sincerely,
Dr. Jessalyn Askew
