BES Music Education works on fostering and growing each student’s creative musical ability to sing, play various instruments, aural listening skills, movement expression, and their appreciation for music. BES Music Education provides an opportunity for each student to be exposed to various styles and mediums of music. Music education classes at the elementary level encourage critical and creative problem-solving skills. During this time of Remote Learning, there will not be many opportunities for students to perform as a group, but there will be adaptive ways for students to display their musiccal talents. Once we are back in a face-to-face setting the will be new opportunites for students to explore music outside of the traditional classroom. The classroom lessons are designed to encourage perceptual awareness, through the involvement of all of the senses, and allows for the integration of other curriculums, as music readily relates to all educational experiences.
