Henry County Schools to Implement Weapons Detection Systems at Stadiums

Earlier this semester, the Henry County Board of Education made a proactive investment in weapons detection systems for all 10 high school stadiums. While the district's comprehensive approach to providing supportive, safe, and secure learning environments has resulted in multiple layers of security in schools, these layers have not been present at our high school stadiums, which routinely host large events attended by many guests from outside our school community.

Beginning this Friday, weapons detection technology will be in place at all 10 high school stadiums for home events. Additionally, beginning this Friday, entry will not be allowed into home football games after the third quarter.
