Dear Parents:

My name is Mrs. Darline Octavius-Pierre, I will be your child’s teacher for the school year 2024-2025. I would like to warmly welcome you and your child to an exciting year of first grade! I will be here to support you and your child as we navigate through the school year.  Our incredible team of first-grade teachers has worked diligently to prepare fun and engaging ways to interact with the students while creating a safe environment for them to share their ideas as they learn the skills needed to be successful.

My career as an educator started in Florida about 8 years ago. I worked as an Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teacher at Hollywood Central Elementary in Florida. Two years ago, I relocated to the state of Georgia from Florida. This is my third year teaching 1st grade. I graduated from Miami Dade College, and I am in the process of obtaining a master’s degree in Elementary Education. I am thrilled to continue my journey as a teacher here to make a positive impact in the lives of my students.
