Classroom Management:

Unity Grove Elementary has implemented a positive behavior support program this year called "P.A.W.S." 

All UGE Panthers are expected to demonstrate PAWS behavior. We will track our behavior using dojo class.

PAWS stands for:

P- Prepare    

A- Act Responsibly    

W- Work Together 

S- Show Respect

Dress Code Expectations per the HCS Student Handbook

• • • No holes in jeans above the knee
    • Shorts/Skirts must be at or below fingertip length
    • Leggings should be worn with a shirt that reaches at or below fingertip length
    • Pants should be worn at the waist and should not sag below waistline

Transportation:  Ensure that changes in transportation are communicated to your child’s teacher with a note detailing the new mode of transportation.

Attendance:  

• Start time 7:35am, your child will be counted tardy after 7:35am
• School day begins at 7:35am…School day ends at 2:20pm
• Doors open at UGE at 7:15am
• Breakfast will be provided until 7:30am

Lunch with Parents/Family Members

• • Parents may eat lunch with their child only on the stage
  • Parents may bring outside food for their child only.

Grading Expectations and Assignments:   We post grades weekly.  If your child does not complete an assignment, they will be given the grade they earn for partial work.  We will give them time to finish it (up to 2 days), but after that the grade remains.  If your child is absent, they have a number of days absent to make up any graded assignments.  Please check Infinite Campus regularly to be aware of missing assignments, progress on assignments, and grades.  If you ever have a concern, please contact me.
