Austin Road Elementary Media StaffMedia Specialist
Welcome! I am the Austin Road Elementary Media Specialist, Renee Jackson. At A.R.E.S. our mission is reaching academic excellence through: Value, Ownership, Innovation, Collaboration, Engagement. Our vision is to become a high performing school where life-long is fostered through creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking. Our belief is Academic – All children are unique and learn at different rates and in different ways. Respect – Everyone is respected and valued regardless of his or her differences. Engagement – Quality education is an engagement between home, school, and community stakeholders working toward student development. Safety – Providing an emotionally and physically safe environment is our top priority.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Mercer University and my Master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Georgia Southern University. I am a certified PreK through 5th grade teacher and a certified Pre-K through 12th grade Media Specialist. I am excited to help our students to think critically, collaborate, communicate, and create in the media center.
