Student Support Facilitator (SSF) Dr. Kentosha Cody

  • My name is Dr. Kentosha Cody and I am thrilled to serve as your Student Support Facilitator (SSF) at Austin Road Elementary School.  Serving students, staff, and families as well as supporting individuals with disabilities is a passion and a personal mission.

I received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Public Health from the University of Georgia, in Athens, Georgia.  I then pursued my Master’s Degree in Counseling. In addition, I have received my doctoral degree in Psychology, specializing in Counseling Psychology. I have supported individuals and families throughout my career all while advancing my education. From working in Public Health in Athens, Georgia to volunteering with the American Red Cross, to community counseling, to serving in the Henry County School System, all my culminating experiences have contributed to the professional I am today.

I have served as an Educator and School Counselor for a total of 15 years (10 years as a Special Education Teacher, 3 years as a School Counselor, and 2 years as an SSF). I do not take serving my community lightly. I am a resource as well as an advocate for the students and families that I serve. Please do not hesitate reaching out to me with concerns, questions, or clarification needed to support our students.
