Media Center Behavior Plan 2022-2023
-
Media Center Behavior Plan
SOAR Behavior is the expected behavior throughout Austin Road Elementary. Focusing on positive behavior, SOAR teaches students skills that can help them throughout their lives. The media center uses ClassDojo to positively reinforce positive behavior and maintain contact with parents. Students have the opportunity to earn Dojo points based on their daily behavior.
- Austin Road Elementary Behavioral Expectations:
S Safe
O Organized
A Accountable
R Respectful
Each student at Austin Road will be expected to follow SOAR behavior. Class Dojo will be used to track student behavior. When positive behaviors are noticed throughout the building, faculty and staff will give the student a Dojo point. Students meeting the required number of school-wide points at the end of the week will be rewarded.
PreK – 1st Grade Goal of 20 points
2nd – 5th Grade Goal of 30 points
Routines and rituals will be taught and followed daily to decrease the number of behavior problems. However, if students do not follow the Positive Behavior rules, Dojo points will be subtracted and the following steps will be taken.
