Greetings Cotton Indian Family

My name is Wanda Rainey, I am the Parent Involvement Paraprofessional at Cotton Indian Elementary School. I am very excited for this opportunity to work with you and your family. I am a Certified Teacher with over 20 years working in education.  I am extremely excited to keep you all informed, participating, and engaged. As a Parent Involvement Paraprofessional, my job is to keep parents and/or guardians informed about events and volunteer opportunities at CIE. I am here to support you 😊!

Children of all ages benefit by parent participation. Parent involvement makes a huge difference, by enriching our children’s education, as well as their lives. Parent involvement enhances the opportunities available to our kids!  I encourage you to ask your child’s teacher for ways in which you can be involved.  Remember…involvement is more than volunteering with your child’s classroom. Involvement is taking an active role in your child’s education and helping your child at home. We must work together as a team to assist your child in the learning process.

If you are in need of resources, the Family Resource Center (FRC), here at Cotton Indian Elementary School, has many available for you to check out and use within the comfort of your home, such as educational games, reading books, and more!
