Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl
The Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl brings together students with a love of reading in an academic team type of competition. Reading Bowl is a type of quiz bowl based on The Georgia Book Award Nominee novels. Teams will compete against each other by answering questions related to the novels. Each participating elementary, middle and high school will have a team of up to 10 students who will compete
at the county level competition. The Henry County Reading Bowl competition takes place in January each year. First and second place winners will go on to compete at the regional level and, depending on where they place, may participate in divisional and state levels.
Up to 10 students will be chosen to represent Cotton Indian Elementary at the competition. If you are interested, see Mrs. Howard or Mrs. Robinson to begin reading. Practices will be held weekly during lunch.
