Mrs. Matthews
Greetings! My name is Mrs. Matthews, and I am honored to serve as the Instructional Effectiveness Facilitator at Cotton Indian Elementary. My role is to provide instructional support to school staff through classroom observations, data analysis, modeling, coaching, and feedback. In addition, I assist the principal and school leadership with the implementation and evaluation of the continuous improvement process. I help to connect program goals and CSIPs to the district vision and strategic direction. Additionally, I coordinate and facilitate professional development and provide coaching support related to highly effective instruction, including literacy, student agency, goal-setting, learning engagement strategies, and academic acceleration.
I hold a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. I am also certified in ESOL. I am currently pursuing a Doctorate degree in Elementary Education with a Specialization in Curriculum & Instruction.
I have previously served as a classroom teacher and in those years, I’ve supported fellow teachers, served on several committees, and earned leadership experience and credentials.
I am passionate about teaching and learning. It is my goal to support transforming learning experiences in the classroom by working collaboratively with the teachers at Cotton Indian Elementary School.
Educationally yours,
Mrs. Demi W. Matthews
