Mrs. Heidi A. Long

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year at Cotton Indian Elementary School!  My name is Mrs. Heidi Long and this is my 23rd year teaching music.  I am excited to be your music teacher this year!  I am married and have one eight year old son.  My family and I love Walt Disney World and go any chance we can.  In fact, my husband and I got married in Walt Disney World in 2003.  J

I earned my bachelor’s degree in music education with emphasis on voice from Georgia College & State University, master’s degree in educational leadership from Walden University and my specialist in teacher leadership from Thomas University. 

During the remote learning phase of the school year, our leaders will have the opportunity to use Quaver.  I will take time to teach music and have fun activities off and online through this exciting program.  I am looking forward to sharing exciting and new concepts.  WE are all in this together.

This year, students will have music classes where they will have the opportunity to sing, dance, move and play instruments.  Make sure you ask your child what they are learning and always feel free to come visit the music room.  Look forward to performances for your child.  We will have some grade level performances, and a chorus (4^th and 5^th grade).
