    My name is Melanie Laurence. This is my fourteenth year teaching in Henry County Schools .  I am a graduate of Mercer University and I am very excited to begin a wonderful new year! This is my fourth year teaching at Unity Grove Elementary School where I am an EIP teacher ( Early Intervention Program).  I have two wonderful children and am blessed with two grandchildren who all live in Canada. I spent my summer in Canada and loved everyminute.  Too say the least it has been an amazing summer! My children send lots of pictures and artifacts to share with students- do not be surprised if you see pencils and chocolate from their travels!

     I have taught in Europe as well as Canada. My heart has always been in Georgia and I look forward to teaching your child this year at Unity Grove Elementary where " Unity Makes Us Great"
