• Hickory Flat Elementary School invites all parents and family members to share ideas about building partnerships with the school, families, and the community at our Parent Input Meetings held in the fall and spring each year. Parent input is an essential component of the decision-making process concerning issues that affect the education of the children at Hickory Flat Elementary School.  Parents may also submit comments, suggestions, and recommendations at any time to the school or after any parent engagement activity or meeting through program surveys.  Parent input and comments are submitted to the HCS District Office after the Title I Annual Meeting.

Topics surveyed include, but are not limited to, satisfaction of the Title I Schoolwide Improvement Plan, the School-Parent Compact, the Parent and Family Engagement Plan, Title I Budget including the 1% set-aside for Parent and Family Engagement, and suggestions for staff training as it pertains to family engagement.
