Mrs. Jennifer Hoagland

My name is Jennifer Hoagland and I am the Family Engagement Liaison at Hickory Flat Elementary. I joined the Flat Family in July 2023 and have enjoyed every day here since school began. I believe parents and families being involved in their child's education can be the most significant factor in the achievement and academic success of a child.  Nobody knows a child better than his/her parents and family.  I am so excited to bring my energy and fresh ideas to the Family Resource Room at Hickory Flat Elementary School.  I look forward to getting to know all the amazing families here at the Flat. 

I am a Jersey girl-- born and raised!  Prior to moving to Georgia in 2013, I was the Executive Director of Next Level Youth, a nonprofit youth organization serving the youth in my community through tutoring and mentoring programs.  I have served as a volunteer with Henry County Schools in many capacities, including School Council member and Chair and PTO President. I have served on the Superintendent's Advisory Council and Personalized Learning Advisory Board.  

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I am a wife and mom to three beautiful children. My daughter Amalia is a 2021 graduate of Woodland High School, and currently a Junior at Georgia Southern University. My oldest son Kahlid is a 10th grader at Union Grove High School where he plays football.  My baby boy is Capri and he is in the 6th grade at Union Grove Middle School.
