Greetings, 

It is an honor and privilege to introduce myself as the new principal of Hickory Flat Elementary School. I am super excited to join the HFE school family. I bring with me 26 years of experience in the field of education with 18 years in school building level leadership at the elementary, middle, and high school level, and almost a decade of experience as an elementary school principal. In addition to experience, I also bring a commitment to leadership and a passion for educating all children. 

I arrive at Hickory Flat as a seasoned leader and a former technology teacher. I am also a wife, and a mother of two college students, and we have 3 dogs. I love the arts, crafting, reading, sports, traveling, and being creative. I am extremely passionate about everything I do; but I am the most passionate about children and making sure they have a strong academic foundation and memorable school experiences. 

With my goal of continuing the tradition of excellence here at Hickory Flat Elementary School, I am committed to providing stability and sound leadership. I am committed to exploring ways to meet the needs of all students and to communicate and collaborate with parents, students, and community members.
