Hello Grizzly Family! It is with great enthusiasm and honor that I have been appointed Assistant Principal at Tussahaw Elementary. I promise to work with all stakeholders toward our school’s mission and vision. At TES we have dedicated teachers, staff, and parents who are committed to student learning and setting high expectations. I am excited and grateful to continue to work alongside Dr. Jones and Ms. Lomax to lead the instructional efforts at Tussahaw Elementary.

My educational journey began when I taught my firstborn to read. The feeling I received from that experience inspired me to become an educator. I began my teaching career as a first-grade teacher at Chesthaven Elementary in Pompano Beach, Florida. After four years in Florida, my family and I decided to move to Georgia. During my 16 years in Georgia, I have taught 1st, 3rd, 5th, EIP. I have served as a grade-level chair and a reading and math Instructional Coach. I come to you with 20 years of elementary experience. I am committed to building a teacher's capacity to help drive student achievement.

As a lifelong learner, my hope is that my efforts will inspire every student to create a positive footprint in an ever-changing, global society. Here at Tussahaw, ALL students will be able to acquire the life-long knowledge, skills, and values needed in order to make great contributions to their community and wherever life takes them.
