Greetings,  

My Name is Tracy Myers.  I have been teaching at Hickory Flat for 10 years. I have taught 3rd, 4th, and now 1st grade. I love working at Hickory Flat and look forward to making lasting relationships with all my families.  My favorite thing about teaching at HFE is having the opportunity to teach siblings. I am excited about meeting all my new students this year, as well as, re-connecting with former students. 

I am married to my high school sweetheart, Mr. Steve.  We collectively have 8 children.  I had 2, he had 2, and we have raised my niece and 3 nephews. The youngest is starting his first year of high school at UG. To say we have a busy life is an understatement, but we wouldn't have it any other way.  Most recently, we became grandparents to a beautiful baby boy, Colton, who has stolen our hearts and makes us smile every day. We have 2 dogs at home, Niko and Sampson. I have 5 turtles as classroom pets, and we have 15 chickens that I hatched in my classroom. I also sell fresh eggs as my side hustle.  :)

I grew up in Chamblee, Georgia and graduated from Chamblee High School. I have lived in Mississippi, Louisiana, Vermont, and Illinois.  I have friends and family all over the United States.  My Alma Mater is Kennesaw State University. I love the outdoors, swimming, sports, gardening, photography, reading, music, lying on the beach and hanging out with good friends.  I am also a HUGE Harry Potter fan.  I look forward to meeting you all this year and having FUN while learning!!!
