Health/Personal Fitness overview

  • Our goal for Health is for the students in high school to demonstrate comprehensive health knowledge and skills. Their behaviors reflect a conceptual understanding of the issues associated with maintaining good personal health. They serve the community through the practice of health-enhancing behaviors that promote wellness throughout life

    Personal Fitness is designed to provide accurate and thorough information young people need to make positive decisions about their fitness. The purpose is to motivate each student to strive for lifetime personal fitness. The knowledge and skills taught in this course include teaching the student the process of becoming fit as well as achieving some degree of fitness within this class. The concept of wellness is the corner stone of this course. This course is REQUIRED for graduation.
