• CHORUS

    The Chorus program at Locust Grove High (LGH) is an organization of students wishing to participate in chorus in the fall and spring semester – this is a year-round program at LGH. Three years of participation may lead to a state Fine Arts Seal.

    Chorus students will study:

    • Music theory
    • Music history
    • Rhythm and counting
    • Sight-reading
    • Musical aspects and vocabulary
    • Concert etiquette
    • Performance tendencies.
    • Proper health and related dietary needs

    The chorus will perform at seasonal concerts and state evaluation (LGPE). The requirements for chorus are: 

    • Knowledge of basic music fundamentals
    • Desire to grow in music performance
    • Permission from the director and/or recommendation from the middle school director
    • These requirements may be altered at the discretion of the director. 

    I will be available for questions and to assist you during normal school times Monday through Friday. You may contact me through email or Google Meet.

Welcome to the Austin Road Middle School Music Department page. Our department offeres band and music technology to students in grades 6-8.

This is my first year at ARM. This is my 28th year in education and my 18th year in Henry County. 

I hope your students enjoy being a part of the ARM Music Department!
