    Ms. Melanie Kellam, MA Ed.- Instructional Effectiveness Facilitator

          Ms. Melanie Kellam of McDonough, Georgia currently serves as the Instructional Effectiveness Facilitator at Woodland Middle School in the Henry County School District. Ms. Kellam received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English communications from High Point University and a Master of Education degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Phoenix and has earned her Gifted Education and Coaching Endorsements. This engaging educator provides opportunities for teachers to develop and expand their instructional tool kits, specific to the content they teach. She supports teachers by providing social studies education through academic competitions, interactive museum tours, field trips, and arts integration by using fine arts skills to master the curriculum. Civic education is also a focus for Ms. Kellam, as she advocates for and provides civic learning opportunities, like Model United Nations, Mock Elections, and Junior youth Assembly) to teachers and students. Ms. Kellam’s teacher mentees continuously place at the county, state, and national levels of the National History Day Competition, as well as receive numerous awards and recognitions for their participation in several programs outside of the classroom.
