What is PBIS?

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a schoolwide approach to reduce disciplinary incidents and increase a school’s sense of safety to support improved academic outcomes. It is evidence-based and data-driven. PBIS rewards and reinforces positive behaviors by setting clear expectations, consistent encouragement, and a supportive environment.
