• Science Olympiad is an academic team that collectively prepares to compete in 23 events that fall into five broad areas:

    • Life, Personal, and Social Science

    • Earth and Space Science

    • Physical Science and Chemistry

    • Technology and Engineering

    • Inquiry and Nature of Science

Instead of individual achievement, Science Olympiad emphasizes and rewards teamwork and collaboration. Students compete against other teams with written exams, live science experiments, and the testing of engineered designs and models students create before the competition. These events look a lot more like a track meet than a science fair!
