The Compact is an agreement that parents, teachers, and students develop together that describes how all parties will share responsibility for student learning. It helps bridge the learning connection between school and home. It also describes how the school and parents will build and develop a partnership that will help children achieve the state's high standards. The Compact is reviewed and updated each year based on Hickory Flat's academic goals for the year. Parents, teachers and students are all asked for their input into the development of the new Compact.Once complete, each party (principal, teacher, parent, and student) are asked to sign a form acknowledging they have received, read, and agree to the responsibilities outlined in the Compact.
