Greetings Pate’s Creek Families and Community Stakeholders,
I am honored to serve as your assistant principal! I am excited to work with great teachers and staff who are committed to Winning for Kids as we strive each and every day to ensure that students in every grade, pre-K through 5th, are learning to their highest potential.
I am a native of Atlanta, Georgia and a product of Georgia Schools. I graduated high school from North Atlanta High and earned my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southern University. I also hold a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Central Michigan University, and a specialist degree in Curriculum, Instruction, Management, and Administration from Nova Southeastern University. Committed to learning and growing in the profession, I also obtained a leadership certification and gifted and coaching endorsements.
I have served in elementary education and Title I schools for 25 years. I have had the opportunity to teach students in second through fifth grades. I have also served as an instructional coach for the past ten years, with just recently serving as Instructional Lead Teacher at Pate’s Creek. Throughout my career, I have been committed to building strong relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the community. As assistant principal, my goal is to always support the total school program, engage with all students and parents, collaborate with teachers to ensure overall student achievement and assist them with building their own professional capacity to lead.
I can’t wait to share the great things that will happen at PCE this year! I am looking forward to the best year yet!
Yours In Partnership,
Toi McLaughlin, Ed. S.
