Gifted Services Description

Gifted resource services occur during My Enrichment (ME) time, five days a week, 7:45-8:30 am. 

During this time, students work with a gifted certified teacher.  Students receive accelerated learning opportunities in reading, writing, and math.  Acceleration engages students in tasks beyond the grade level standards, or allows students to dig deeper into existing standards.  The curriculum utilizes cross-curricular units, real-world inquiry-driven tasks, and above-grade level texts.  In addition, gifted resource provides ongoing opportunities for students to practice critical and creative thinking skills, encouraging students to think in abstract and divergent ways.
