The Beginning Band is open to students in grades 4-5. This co-curricular activity provides students with exposure to basic musical concepts and instrumental techniques. The ensemble also spends time focusing on various topics such as music theory, music history, and cross-curricular connections. Students in band will have the opportunity to learn one of the following instruments: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, or percussion. The band will perform once a year in May. 

Students will rehearse on Wednesdays from 2:45-4:00 P.M. in the music room. To join, please contact Ms. Murphy for a Student Information & Sign-Up Form. New members will be accepted through August 20, 2024.
