• Art, Guitar, and Orchestra are exploring Music City February 15-17, 2024

    We are so excited to share with you a wonderful opportunity for our Art, Guitar and Orchestra programs.  Next school year we are taking an exciting trip to Nashville for a Vanderbilt college workshop/master classes with professors, music & art galleries, and a tour behind the scenes of the Grand Ole Opry. Not to mention…a spooky ghost tour.  

     

    Activities:

    • Ola High School Orchestra participates in a clinic with Mr. Robin Fountain

    • Ola High School Guitar Ensemble participates in a clinic with Dr. Richard Todd

    • Ola High School Art participates in an Art class (figure drawing, portrait drawing, or

    • charcoal drawing) with Ms. Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons

    • Nashville Farmers’ Market

    • The Ghosts of Nashville Tour

    • RCA Studio B

    • Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center

    • Backstage Tour of the Grand Ole Opry

    • Dinner at Santa Fe Cattle Company

    • Performance at the Grand Ole Opry

    • Frist Art Museum

    • Country Music Hall of Fame/Hatch Show Print

    As parents ourselves, we have worked with several companies to secure the lowest possible cost, while maintaining the maximum amount of fun for our kids. Please see attached page with cost. This includes Travel, Activities, hotel stay for 2 nights (with guards/security), workshops and performance opportunities for our children. The best part, you are welcome to join in the fun! We would love for you to chaperone this event. Each adult wishing to join us as a chaperone must have a Henry County Schools background screening due to overnight stays. 

     

     

    Meal at Santa Fe Cattle Compay is covered by the trip along with each breakfast. Students will be responsible for other meals as noted. 

     

    NOTE: For upcoming 9th graders, You may defer your HIGH SCHOOL trip payments until after the 8th-grade trip is fully paid for (except registration/deposit). We also encourage trip insurance because in everyone’s lives, things come up that are unexpected.
