Welcome!  I am so excited to be returning to teach at Ola for my sixth year.  I came to Ola in 2019 with 7 years of experience teaching middle school English, 2 years teaching high school English, and 1 year of teaching high school reading and writing.  At Ola, I have taught 6 years of reading and writing as well as World Literature.  I hold a Bachelor's degree in English, a Master's in Teaching, and a Specialist in Teacher Leadership with a focus on reading.  I am also gifted, reading, and MTSS endorsed.  This year, I serve students as the 9th grade Honors Literature and Composition teacher. I am also proud to be the JV girls soccer coach.  GO MUSTANGS!

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 18 years and have a 14 year old and 2 12 years olds (all boys!) In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my family.  So far, my family and I have visited 21 states and have plans to visit all 50 states before my kids graduate.  I also enjoy running and have one marathon under my belt.  Of course, as an English teacher, I enjoy reading, especially distopian literature.
