Course teaching: Biology & Environmental Science

Welcome to my classroom! I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach science at Ola High School, marking my tenth year as a Mustang. My passion for education drives me to help students discover and achieve their full potential. I believe in the power of education and the importance of parental involvement in the learning process.

I am married to my college sweetheart, an elementary art teacher, and we have three wonderful children: a college graduate and flight operations lead, a senior in college and full-time recruiter, and a daughter studying massage therapy.

Before entering the field of education, I served as an engineer officer in the U.S. Army after completing ROTC in college. Following our time at Fort Leonard Wood, my wife and I returned to Georgia. I began my educational journey as a paraprofessional in a primary school, and in 1999, I transitioned into a high school science teaching role. Since then, I have accumulated 25 years of teaching experience across elementary, middle, and high school levels in Henry County. My educational background includes degrees from Bainbridge College, Georgia Southwestern State University, and University of West Georgia.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy a variety of activities including listening to music, hiking, visiting museums, attending football games, and reading novels. College football Saturdays are a personal favorite - Go Noles and Yellow Jackets! I am also an avid follower of Formula One, INDYCAR, NASCAR, the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta United, and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Spending quality time with my family is always a priority.
