In our class, we'll learn 5 Big Ideas in Social Studies. 

1. History - We dig deep into America's history beginning with the American Revolution up to Reconstruction. 
2. Geography - We'll find and even build models of important man-made locations on a map of America
3. Government - We'll learn about the rights that all Americans have as well as the different systems that are present in our government.
4. Economics - We'll learn about money! We'll create our own budgets and experience what life might be like when we're living on our own. 
5. Map & Globe Skills - We'll look at maps from all around the world from today's time and from the past.
