Welcome to the gifted program at Impact Academy. In this program, your child will be immersed in a challenging learning environment that focuses on research, Depth and Complexity, the 4 Cs, and S.T.E.M..What is Depth and Complexity? The goal of Depth is to help students expand their knowledge and expertise while maintaining a balance with the academic content. The goal of Complexity is to challenge students to make connections across disciplines, both over time and between disciplines.
What are the 4 Cs? The 4 Cs are 21st century skills that include critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. Students will be encouraged to exercise creativity and critical thinking in both individual and collaborative situations while being able to communicate their understanding of the standards.
What is S.T.E.M.? S.T.E.M. or S.T.E.A.M. education is an integrated curriculum that is driven by exploratory project-based learning and student-centered development of ideas and solutions. It prepares students for 21st Century workplace careers by providing high quality educational opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics fields. In this student-centered learning environment, students will investigate and engineer solutions to problems, and construct evidence-based explanations of real-world phenomena.
