Dr. Glass

I am a native of Georgia.  I graduated from Clayton County Public Schools.  After graduating high school, I continued my education at Clayton State, where I obtained my first degree in Middle Grades Education.  I am committed to being a lifelong learner and continued my education at the University of West Georgia and Georgia College and State University, where I obtained a Specialist Degree in Middle Grades Education. I also attended Brenau University, graduating with a Doctorate of Education in Middle Grades. As you can see, Middle Grades is my passion!  

My Teaching Philosophy: 

In my classroom, I will create a safe and encouraging environment that fosters learning and values diversity.  As a teacher, I will help facilitate thinking, engage minds, encourage risk, and cultivate dreams. I will provide opportunities for students to explore their talents and assist my students in developing leadership skills. My teaching philosophy is best defined by the words of Martin Luther King: Intelligence plus character is the goal of true education. I have also adopted the philosophy of John Dewey: If we teach today's students as we taught yesterday's, we rob them of tomorrow.
