My name is Nadiya Bobo. Let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I came from Ukraine (Eastern Europe) right after I graduated from my University. I got my Bachelor degree in Pedagogics (Education) and Masters degree in Economics. I moved to the USA in 2000 to start a family with my husband Kevin. Together we have a wonderful daughter that attends OHS. Our Family is our biggest priority!
Since I was a child I dreamed about becoming an animator, so I put my love of art in creating many paintings and lots of wall murals in different places from homes to churches to school library. Yes, I was honored to paint the media center at our RSE a few years ago. I also worked for an embroidery company, then I worked as a preschool teacher and for the last 10 years I enjoyed working as an art teacher at International school of arts and languages with many different age kids.
And now I am excited to join RSE team and teach Art to our wonderful students here. I do believe that EVERY CHILD IS AN ARTIST. Art inspires! ART helps us find beauty in everything!
I want to be able to introduce our students to different artists and cultures, inspiring people and great literature, by doing art projects using different media and techniques. In our art class we will be covering the Georgia Standards of Excellence for Art. These standards can be found using the following link: https://www.georgiastandards.org/Georgia-Standards/Documents/K-12-Visual-Art-Standards.pdf
Each student has a folder in our art class where he/she will collect their art work through the school year and they will bring it home at the end of the school year. You can also see what we are working on by looking through Art Galleries of students art work on my page.
Also in our Art Class we will have EXPECTATIONS for good behavior, it will help us greatly to enjoy art to the fullest!!!
Thank you for visiting my page.
