    Mrs. Yolanda Peek, M.Ed.
    Assistant Principal
    Ninth Grade
     
    A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Mrs. Yolanda Peek was told by her 7th grade teacher, “I hope you become a teacher, we need all the good people we can get.”  As a result, Mrs. Peek has been in the field of education for over 25 years. 

    After graduating from high school in East Point, Georgia, Mrs. Peek attended Alabama A. and M. University where she earned a B.S. in Mathematics Education.  She continued her education at Georgia State University, majoring in Secondary Education with a concentration in Mathematics.  While teaching mathematics, she enrolled at the University of Georgia, earning a certificate in leadership.  Mrs. Peek taught mathematics for 12 years before moving into administration. 

    Mrs. Peek joined the Dutchtown High School family in 2017.  She currently serves as the ninth grade administrator with a goal to ensure that all students leave Dutchtown High School ready to succeed in a global society.  Mrs. Peek believes that “Everyone Can Be Great Because Everyone Can Serve.” Martin Luther King, Jr.

    Mrs. Peek is humbled to serve the Dutchtown community.  She is married to her loving husband of 19 years, and they are proud parents of two sons and a daughter.
