The Ola High School Choral Program is an integral part of the school and community, volunteering time and talent throughout the year. Currently, the choral program has five choirs: The Mustang Singers, Sorraia, Caspian, Catria, and Falabella.  Choirs under Mrs. Forehand’s direction consistently receive superior ratings at District, State, and National Festivals. She has traveled nationally and internationally with her students for competitions and performances, and her students have individually represented the choral program in District, State, Regional, and National Honor Choirs.

Most recently, Mrs. Forehand conducted her current students and alumni in the performance of Dreamweaver by Ola Gjeilo and the world premiere of “Nos non solum” by Alexis Renee Ward in Carnegie Hall on June 20th, 2022. Sorraia, the mastery treble choir, performed for the 2022 Georgia Music Educators’ Conference. Mrs. Forehand was also a Quarterfinalist for the 2021 and 2022 GRAMMY Music Educators’ Award.

Additionally, she maintains a lifelong commitment to quality music education in schools and equality for all arts and students. Many of Mrs. Forehand’s students have chosen career paths in music over the past fifteen years as performers, educators, and audio engineers and continue sharing their passion for music.
