    (Our service projects)

    One of our club goals is to serve our community in a variety of ways. Spanish Club students and Native Speakers are encouraged to sign-up for tutoring Spanish I, II, and III students who need help in those classes. This takes place in Rm 204, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school. Sign-up with Sra. Humphrey in advance!
     
    This Thanksgiving,we are proud to announce that we will be sponsoring a needy Hispanic families in the Community. We are collecting canned and dry goods to put in our "Gift Baskets" for these families. Some suggestions are:can goods, bread, peanut butter and jelly, rice, pasta, cereal, soups, snack food, and cake mixes. Gift cards to Kroger or local grocery stores are also welcome, no cash gifts please. Turn items in to Ms. Humphrey in room 204 by Friday, November TBD.
     
    Operation Christmas Child: pencils, pencil sharpeners, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pads sets, writing pads or paper, solarc alculators, coloring and picture books. We are sponsoring a child for Christmas as well. Here are some other Gift Suggestions...Toys: small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, yo-yos, jump ropes. Hygiene items: toothbrushes, paste, mild bar soap (in plastic bag with in box), comb, washcloth, a small cup or bowl. Clothing items: t-shirts, socks, hats, sunglasses, hair clips, jewelry, and flashlights (with batteries).
     
    We are also sponsoring these families for Christmas. Canned and dry goods are welcomed, as well as scarves, clothes, etc. Here are some suggested items: toiletry items (tissue, body washes, deodorant, soap, tooth paste, tooth brushes, lotion for parent and students) and a toy or games for a needy child. Turn items in to Ms. Humphrey in room 204 by Friday, December TBD.
