Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Robert Stout

My teaching career began from 1995 through 2000 and continued in 2015.  I then worked three years in Florida before relocating to Georgia in the summer of 2018.  Rock Spring Elementary has been my assigned school, and I am thrilled to be here.

Being a lifelong learner is important to me.  I initially graduated from Marshall University in Huntington, WV with a B.B.A in Marketing in 1987.  I continued my college courses at the University of South Florida, working toward a bachelor's in Specific Learning Disabilities from 1994 to 1998, but completed  a professional certificate in Florida for Exceptional Student Education.  In July 2021, I completed a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education at Thomas University with a reading endorsement.

I started my Army Reserve career in 1981 and retired in 2006 at the rank of Major after returning from a deployment to Baghdad, Iraq.

I have two adult sons and one granddaughter. She was born in October 2019.  For fun, I enjoy biking, hiking, and swimming as well as watching college sports.
